Redondo is about the only place I have time to fish. Just want to keep up on reports there.

I used to drive an hour to get there especially on Friday and Saturday nights. We usually brought a 6pack of beer and snacks. Just a rod. Bunch of really cool Mexican Guys would bait our rigs. Hooks weight and all. Just wanted our fish. They even shared good ice cold Mexican beer with us. It was fun. If I caught something I wanted to take home they filleted it for me kept on ice until we went home. We used to go bar hopping on Beach Cruisers or Mountain bikes. It was easy to wreck with all the hot stuff to look at while trying to ride a bicycle.

I would love to hear stories about this pier. I haven't fished there in 60 years. My fondest memory of fishing there is catching Bonita on feathers. Loved the action. Wish not a frequent occurrence but exciting.

Use to fish the barge there in the early 70’s was great fishing. Then would fish the harbor in a 12ft. Boat they had a hand launch area would catch Bonita and small yellow tails called them fire crackers was the good old days.

I used to go out to the Barge too. I heard it’s gone now.
