Looks like a good time. Need to have a pot of boiling water at the end of those ramps. LOL.

Sounds like great fun, is there a feast after? We had our own frog jump the same time as the famous Caliveras frog jump (Mark Twain). All us kids would catch our frogs, smaller always won. A two pounder with legs like drumsticks was always the favorite, couldn't jump worth a darn though. Fun stuff.

Looks like a lot of fun Mustang. One crab doesn't look like he's very happy with his handler though.
The crab races are very fun. It's a weekend event. A crab derby where there are crabs marked to be worth 100 dollars. One crab is worth a $1000. I baited my pot with pink salmon. I caught 4 Dungeness and 4 rocks in the day but they were too small. I will be back to conquer the day!!

I'm with you on that setup Gordon!ππ Along with a dozen ears of corn, maybe some clams to boot!
Yes Sport. There is a crab feed through out the day. I think every body has a good time except the crabs π¦. They are volunteers and sacrifice so much. Basically, they are voluntold.

That's a fun day! Salmon heads are a favorite bait around Bodega piers, also favorite of the harbor seals. Many battles over your net.

Those are fun days...
One like that except for the crab eating is the turtle races in Altus Oklahoma. We caught a soft shelled turtle that was fast like a racing lizard, he had one serious attitude. We figured if it didn't attack and kill the other turtles the race was his to win.
He was disqualified, totally disrespected as a turtle. We argued that they were called soft shelled
turtles but nope. Personally I think they should have had a higher classification of hi speed racing turtles that soft shelled turtles could rule...but hey, it's their turtle race.
Never seen a crab that size. Is it real? Must be record dungeness.
