Put in this morning just before daylight took out at 8:00, 3rd cast I hooked a Hybrid that I fought for 5 minutes or so before it broke me off on 4 pound test. About 5 minutes later I hooked another that didn't break me off, tough fight on that limber rod.
Had 5 Smallmouth 3 of which were picture worthy. had two other nice fish pull off at the boat so really not a bad morning.

Nice catch. Our wipers are just about ready to break loose firbthe spring feed. Hope to see a couple this week.

Man those things pull hard, the first one this morning stripped drag like it'd never stop. They are roaming the banks here in shallow water close to deep and raiding the shad. The Shad spawn has just started I could hear them running the bank this morning so things may just heat up for a while. Guess it's about time to change my tactics maybe go to a Fluke, it's just hard to put down the tight line rig.
