Loc: Now Virginia, after NJ then NY
Hello; Grenlock, huh! I was born 69 yr ago) and raised in NJ but had to paste the name on Map to find out where that is. That looks like a lot of driving to get to really good places, but sure there’s some good bass and pickerel spots round there too. I did fish all over the state, but majority was near the Jersey Shore. Boy Scouts and friends had me up in north Jersey trout fishing, caught few monster pickerel up there, some nice bass too. Caught a lot of pickerel all over the cranberry bogs and pine lands. Built my first house on a lagoon where cedar Creek runs into Barnegat Bay, so real familiar with all the salt water species from the Highlands down to Great Bay.
I live down in VA now, right near NC border. Things are different here, but fishing is pretty good.
Where do you fish, or want to?
Everybody gets that wrong “Grenloch” I travel around the State , going to spruce run soon and Merrill Creek also, also fish out of Northeast MD on the susquehanna flats, do most of my hunting in MD out of dorchester for them Sika deer, tasty little devils

Would love some info. on shoreline trout fishing at Merrill Creek Reservoir. Tried Merrill Creek very early in the season but no luck I got 2 nice lake trout from the shore last week at Round Valley Reservoir. . Caught one with a plain gold Kastmaster spoon, 1/2 ounce, and the other on a yellow Rooster Tail spinner.
Fly fishing was good on Pequest River, near hatchery, about 2 weeks ago. Lots of fishermen and lots of fish.

Welcome aboard Joey! I’m a pretty much a saltwater guy now, mostly great bay, little egg harbor, Barnegat bay and some surf and jetty fishing. Hope you enjoy the stage.
I'm a newbie, looking for good spots along Jersey Delaware Bay shores. Would like to go the beginning of next week,8/20 or so. Any chance I can get some info on surf fishing from you, would appreciate it, thanks
