They were deeper than Iowa, and much taller and more athletic. I think South Carolina took a lot out of the Hawkeyes.

Virginia Tech played an excellent game too. We got to thank Iowa for taking out The Gamecocks. They beat us handily earlier in the year.

Thanks Griz. Coach Mulkey is a pretty tough cookie and seemed to have the ladies playing on all cylinders.

Yeah Four, we're really proud of them. They haven't yet made the full adjustment to what now is a different, more physical game. But, there's a recruitment every year, and soon they'll be ready for the grind of playing teams like Baylor, Stamford, So Carolina, etc. & having enough left to go all the way post season. We hope !
These young ladies are something special. Hope it doesn't go the way of track and swimming.

Nutz, I was thinking maybe our ladies team could identify as men and play for the mens team because they suck. 😁

Kim is an outstanding coach, and what a player she was ! Same intensity on the court as you see now on the sidelines.

Gordon, I don’t know how Iowa beat your girls other than speed and 3 pointers because no one was giving them trouble for the last 36 games. We’re just grateful they did.

The longest journey starts with the first step Four. They've got a taste now, hopefully they can keep improving.
We're getting better, but a shallower bench isn't helping us when key players are out. Like Maxx said, recruitment can be everything. Congrats again !
