Hello Dennie: Small cats love earthworms, minnows, chicken gizzards, and such.

Large cats, perch about the size of your hand, fishing late at night or early morning. Find a den or such that a big cat would takeover and make their home. Just Sayin...RJS

I personally like to use skipjack and shad and bluegill also works. The skipjack will also catch stripers, use three or four different colors of crappie jigs for skipjack. Hope this helps if you need any more information or have more questions just let me know .

I am a little confused. Are you talking about fresh water catfish, or salt water?
I have never heard of fishing for freshwater with salt water bait. Just Sayin...RJS

Dennie, I’ve being using chicken livers available at most food stores (really cheap) they are a little tough to keep on the hook , so I use these small water soluble bags(Amazon) with a 3.0 circle hook. Give it a try and tight lines.

Chicken livers are very good for smaller cats, of course there’s always a chance of getting a bigger one but I know from personal experiences that skipjack cut in chunks are amazing on the Stones River below the dam at Percy Priest Lake. The best part about skipjack is they are free and also very fun to catch. Just saying.
