What works best? Martha lake lynwood wa
Too generic of a question!
Like what kind of gear for trout or bass should I use there? Only throwing a line cuz im a ten minute walk from Lake. I don't like using bait if I can afford but I think they bite on pink power bait but I'd rather throw a spinner or spoon
Trout I use 2# test but I’ve fished over 50 years. You may want to use 4# or 6# but use 2# leader.
Too many options to list and all depend on conditions. Change is the key word. Fly fishing would be a woolly bigger unless you see a hatch in progress. Look to see what fish are doing: feeding on top or not?
Lures are good from a boat but I prefer bait from shore. Power bait on bottom and recast if you see one surface (if they planted recently) or use a worm and bobber. If you use a lure, put a small worm on it.
Really are thousands of ways to catch a trout.
Try fishing on the bottom with a piece of nightcrawler and a small white marshmallow. On my main line I put a slip sinker, then a small bead or corky, and tie on a snap swivel. Then tie a 2 foot long 4 pound test leader with a size 4 or 6 bait hook. Cast out and once it hits the bottom, reel up, but give them just a little bit of slack. Give them just enough rope to hang themselves. Sorry. Kind of an inside joke. Right Mike?
