I have been singing this song to myself and a few others since I first herd it in the early 70's. AS i understand it it was written by an old Blues musician. I have heard it played by several folks fro Blues, Country, and Folk artist. I will not insult your ears by recording and posting it but this is the chorus

It is called “Fishing Blues”. First time I heard it was back in the early 70,s.
Sung by Taj Mahal. I learned to play it on my guitar soon after. I’m not sure who wrote the song.😎👍

I liked that version also but I couldn't understand the words. Must be my hearing
