First lake was a bust
New Jersey Fishing

Have recently been fishing a little lake over in Jersey with some decent success as of late. Went over today and it was brown water with mats of decayed vegetation floating on top. Didn’t even get the rods out but went home and fished one of the township’s ponds. Did ok with 6 crappies but fished for 4 hours for that meager catch. Others did even worse. They’re still not on fire, at least not today.

Very nice BK! You have been both patient and steady at the catching on those crappies! Pretty soon the bite you have been waiting for will trigger!

The township waters are C and R Fred, thankfully I’m in pretty good shape for a while with the previous catches over in Jersey. The gill fishing in the Pocono lakes generally heats up around mid to late May, I’ll have provisions until then, we’ll not starve.

Thanks NJ, it’s been one here, one there. No big concentrations of them just yet.

Thanks FY, it’s been a bit of a pick. It’s gotta bust loose at some point.

Going to try again this week, maybe Thursday, depending on the weather.

Good deal bk, at least No Skunk. You didn’t give up, and found a few keepers. They come on here in a bit, and you’ll be sending out more Pictures!
