Hi everyone!
I am Julie. I am a newbie here. I am passionate about fishing. Does anyone have thoughts or comments about Clark Lake in Springfield? Are we aloud to keep the fish? I look forward to hearing other fish stories. Thank you.

Welcome to the stage Julie. I'm sorry I don't know about Clark lake. Check the ODNR web site they should have info about lakes in your area. Good luck and share your pics 👍

Welcome to the stage but unfortunately I’m too far away to have the info you’re looking for. I’d strongly suggest you get the ODNR app. It will have all the info you need. Good luck and post some pics of your success if you can.

Tight lines
J

Hi Julie, if you’re talking the lake at George Rogers Clark Park, bass are catch and release. Some others have limits but you can keep within restrictions. Amounts and sizes are posted on a sign by the lake!

Yes you can keep fish caught in Clark Lake. Used to be lots of small crappies caught there. Some bass and carp. Its been a while since I fished there.

Julie I have been checking it out also. My daughter lives like 10 minutes from there. They are scheduled for trout release today or tomorrow. The limit is 5 I believe. Another location near you would be Kaiser lake. State park. No motor boats allowed. It looks nice from the road. I believe it would be the same distance for you to drive.
