Ed have you ever drifted the pass for mangrove snapper doing the summer months after the tarpon season is over, I've caught some of the biggest snapper that I've ever caught drifting Boca Grand pass with cut bait and also you never know what you might get I've caught grouper and other fish also.

The charter captain I was with was using shrimp. We caught a lot of mangrove snappers and sheep heads.
