Believe me when I say if you tease a possum enough.
You'll find out they don't always lay down n play dead 👍👍

True story.
Years ago a friend and I went dove hunting and he took his young Lab, Lady, along. Operative word, young.
He paid a bunch of money for her and planned to train her as a retriever - he did a lot of bird hunting.
We weren’t real serious about the dove hunting and were sitting under a small tree in the shade.
He let Lady explore around the tall grass and brush on our side of the fence.
Lady wandered about 20 yards away and startled a skunk.
The skunk reacted immediately, and with perfect aim and a full load.
Lady became a pet and never hunted.
