Hi gang, my name is Keith Nifong. I was an Army Vet stationed in Ft Benning 73 thru 76. Best think I ever did to straighten my butt out and made a man of me. I grew up rabbit/ deer hunting and pond fishing. After service I was intoduce to Striper fishing in fresh water then saltwater, Surf and pier fishing since I could walk. Most enjoyable fishing was on North Core bank of Porthsmoth Island. Catch several ciatation Red Drum as well all types of eatable seafood buffet.
This all ended in 2019 when i lost use of my left side due to Siactic nerve damage. These forums help me see what is going on the coastline and areas nearby.

Tight Lines everybody

Hello keeter and welcome to the stage. Thank you for your service to this Great Country. Come July and November I post the user names of many of our members here on the stage. If you would like to be added to the Army list please let me know.

So sorry to read that you are unable to continue fishing as you knew it. I don't mean to pry but are you able to get out and fish by way of a wheel chair? If so there are options available.

Plumbob thank you, yes I would like to be added to this great list. As for fishing and hunting I was able to get added on NC handicap draw list but my driver had pacemaker issues that happen just weeks before our hunt so I stayed by his side. We are planning a trip to Sea Level this spring hopefully with my old surf fishing bud. i can move around with my scooter pretty good if no inclines but my camo Electric wheelchair is too heavy to transport. lol

keeter, sorry for just getting back to you had a home project that took me a little longer than I planed. Some time tomorrow I will PM you the Army list so you can see who and when other Army guys on here were in. As mentioned earlier i will post all the branches early July and mid November.

Glad to read you are still able to wet a line that's a hobby that's just hard to just stop. I wish you the best for your spring trip.
