I haven't been fishing in years and going to start back soon.
Getting back into fishing after more years than I care to admit. I am hoping to be able to visit several of the lakes near me starting the end of this month as I am in Drummond, Oklahoma and have found at least 7 lakes within an hour and a half of me at the most. I have seen that a lot of the lake's watercolor is usually murky to muddy, and I was wondering what the best colors are to use for these conditions. It seems from reading online that most people can't agree. One says to use bright colors like red, orange or chartreuse. The next one says only use dark colors like black or black and blue and yet another says to use white and Junebug. Is it that difficult to get a consensus or do they all work? Curious as to what you all use here in Oklahoma lakes. Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.
Nice to see another member from OK.

I say try different colors till you find what works for you, it can also depend on weather, sunny, cloudy etc. Welcome aboard, good luck and tight lines 🎣
Take a handful of colors and hit the water. I like black and blue or fire tiger in dirty water, but a Shad is a Shad. I have caught them on sexy Shad in dirty water too. Key is to get on the water and throw a few different colors and actions and see what they want. Good luck! Rip em lips 🎣🎣
Welcome! Those are all good colors. You'd be surprised how effective Green pumpkin is in murky water. Tight Lines!
Ty for your replies. I haven't had an opportunity to get out on any of the lakes yet as I am just getting over another bout with covid. But I want to thank those of you for your comments. Hopefully I will get the chance to hit the lakes in the next few weeks and I will definitely listen to what you all have said here and take multiple colors with me and see what works.
