I am going to be making my first trip to Alamo Lake, in Arizona 2nd. week in May for 4 days. My target is going to be Crappie. Being originally from the PNW and a once avid Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout fishermen this is going to be my FIRST ATTEMPT at Crappie fishing. I’ll be fishing out of a Colorado XT 9’ Pontoon with Oars, Fins, and a Min Kota Electric motor !! Not looking for honey holes, I’m expecting to explore. Just looking general advice as to
anything I should be looking out for and aware of. I will be staying in Salome, Arizona !!
Look for sunken brush, shade, or cover. Throw mini jigs, crappie minnows, or golden shiners. YouTube has a ton of stuff for slip bobbers. Once you find their depth use those. Tight lines, send pics.
