I'm from Chicago and still in the Chicago suburbs so yes I know Svengoolie Commander. I don't go out of my way to watch but when I come across Sven on TV my wife and I chuckle.

For others out there,
My wife is from New Jersey and wonders if anyone out east remembers Wonderama?(I don't know the spelling).
Cassie also lived in California awhile when Elvira was doing the Svengoolie thing with the old, bad scary movies.
