South Padre Island, TX Spring Break 2023

padrebino Loc: BROWNSVILLE, TX / SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX

SPI 3/11/32 - 90*, sunny, clear emerald/blue water 15 MPH winds.

The screenshots are of Clayton's, one of the hot spots on SPI. (pier extension under construction)

The party starts at about 11:00 AM and continues till 2:00 AM. As the evening approaches, the hardbodies begin to congregate for more live music more booze, wacky weed and who knows what else. Before the party is over, some parents will receive that dreaded phone call from either a hospital or jail.

Mind you, this is just a warm-up to the migration about to take place. It's expected that the crowds will transform the island into a huge party-town for the next 4 weeks. The Queen Isabella Causeway, the only access to SPI, will get jammed up, causing delays of 1 1/2 to 2 hrs., to cross a 2.2 mile bridge .......unless you have a boat!

I looked for Brownville Tony in the crowds but didn't spot him.

BTW, the extension, when finished, on the existing pier promises yet another way to fish.

CHEERS!

I'm pretty sure he's the guy in the swimming trunks.
