New to this place and fairy new to fishing son my own. I was married to a very avid fisherman who made fishing for me very toxic. Since our divorce I have bought my own boat and learning to fish. It has been the best time ever! I am looking for any advice on what to use for differ t species and where to use them and things to try

I A ... welcome.. nice to have ya join us here. What species and what waters are you interested in? There are folks here from your region who should be willing to help. Give 'em a few clues to get them started ....
Welcome Annie,
Always glad to see the ladies join.
I'm from Lafayette Indiana, quite a distance from Iowa, but I'll help out in any way I can.

Welcome to the stage Annie. There are enough members on here that will help you out if you give us a specific area that you want to try
Tactical Bassin’ videos on YouTube are very informative about how, where & when to catch bass. Much of the information applies to fishing in general.

Glad you survived. Learn to have fun fishing and enjoy and not on a mission to win or fail. if you have fun YOU WIN!
Hey, Annie....Welcome. I live in Davenport, which isn't too far from ya. If maybe you would like to get together sometime, with or without your boat, maybe we could spend a little time drowning worms, or whatever bait is appropriate for the type of fish you are after.............whether artificial for bass, or anything else. And if you aren't interested; continue to hang out here, and I'm sure you will get plenty of good tips. Larry
Defiantly will not get married again. I am interested in everything. Walleye crappie cats bluegil etc! I mainly fish in Iowa Lakes but want to venture more out into the rivers once I learn more. I used to take some disabled vets fishing with a group of other people but now I’m thinking of a bigger boat and do it again on my own. I love learning about this type of thing and want to know what lures for what water for what species etc
