Gordon, the problem here in Florida is the people know that we have to much run off from their yards that lives on the beach but don't care about nothing but how pretty and green their yards looks, they say it's the farmers but the farmers are not on the beach and if you add up all the home's on the beach you have as much acreage as the farmers and we do have to eat. With all the changes in the weather and people who don't think about what we are doing to the whole world today, I think things are going to get worse. Just my opinion...

They can say farm and lawn runoff, but the state pumped HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of highly enriched water from the Piney Point former phosphate plant. This would affect the whole Gulf and HAS.

Yes. And where are the Piney Point Phosphate Barons today? They took the money and ran. Probably paid off the local and state politicians and we’re not made responsible for any of the deserted phosphate plants. The good governor should go after them with the State Attorney. They’ve caused more damage to the gulf than the oil spills did.

Let’s see how much will it cost to restock the Gulf of Mexico with fish and other living things. I’m sure the manatees are taking another hit. This could be an extinction event for them.

I have worker for the mines back in the early 80's and know that the county commissioners back then looked the other way when they got what they wanted,if you know what I mean. And the same way now I'm sure, if not worse..Now they are going to pump the slugs out of Piney Point down into a deep well into the aquifer with our elected officials approval.
I hope that people are watching our politicians and take a hard look into what they are letting happen now before they vote them higher up in the political world if you know what I mean.....
