But, it looks like I'll be fishing in the rain! 10 day forecast shows rain on 8 of the 10 days. Unbelievable change in the weather for us. But, there is good news! Starting Thursday, no more lows in the 30's so water temps are going to rise. Thank God for full rain gear and I'll find out if the new top (see pic) I put on my boat helps keep me dry. And thank God for my grandchildren (see pic with one, Preslee) that helped me get through this miserable Winter. Hoping all of your lines get many tugs this year. Let's Go!!!!

Yeehaw Steve. Glad you got Raingear. Hook em. Nothing like grandkids for sure. Sharpen the hooks to set em.

Hi, I'm interested - do you have a canopy that goes all the way around, or at minimum, the front portion? That would be wet riding if it was raining... It's interesting to compare differences in the areas, I've been invited up to the Columbia river several times, and there, if you don't have protection all the way around, you'd better have off-shore foul weather gear. Also you maybe see 1/20 boats made of fiberglass - the rest are AL, or at the bottom. We go over the Columbia bar at the entrance to the river - it is huge and the conditions really gnarly if you miss the slack tides. Scary, scary stuff even for experienced mariners and fishermen.

Hey FF... for the most part I put the top on to provide a little shade from the sun. A little relief from a squal or a light Spring rain would be a bonus. Installing the top so that I have full access to all compartments and not interfere with fishing was a challenge. By installing the frame upside down and inverting the canvas installation, I satisfied those two goals. An added benefit is that I can position the top forward or back in any position I want. Fortunately I've been able to fish our local rivers in a fiberglass boat for 30+ years with no problems. I've been stuck on a couple of sandbars on the Feather but always able to get in the water and push off. Nothing close to the challenge you have.

Nice Steve! First I Love to See the kids getting into fishing! Second, my favorite time of the year for fishing is the winter/cold months. Sure it’s a little tougher but that’s when the big ones come out & play.

Just got back from chasing some steel for 4 days with my brother in some beautiful weather 😂

Ripped my Simms. Had to resort to the neo’s

Awesome pic and video. Beautiful looking water my friend. What river is that? If you are going to chase Steel you have to deal with cold!
