Just wondering if you locals in Havasu know what period will be the largemouth and smallmouth spawn? I see it's starting to warm up a little in the next 10 days. I'm out of the country til April 1st but can't wait to get in my yak everyday to go after them! (I'm in SE Asia-check out the crazy skyscrapers)

We're spending six nights at Koh Lanta off from Krabi and then headed up to khao Lak. We would like to stay away from the touristy areas. Sorry this whole thing isn't about fishing but I can't wait to fish Havasu April 1st! Plan to be there til year end.

I think it comes as the bass are winding down, so guessing in May. I ran into a lot of them in my yak off Mesquite Bay but were all on the small side.

I frequently fish the Topock gorge & have been out twice this week. I’ve been cruising the shorelines of the bays & coves looking for bass & beds which I see frequently when bass are in the shallows. I haven’t seen or caught ANY bass on either trip. We’re about to have a full moon, but last year the spawn didn’t start strong until around a week+ after full moon. Spawning may be happening sooner down River but water is probably a few degrees warmer there.

Yes, I see low 80s is coming your way in the next few days, so that will certainly get things rolling that Havasu.
