do fish sleep? if so how do you know they are a sleep? is that why sometimes you can see the fish but they won't bite your bait? speaking of which I think I'll go back to sleep

I'm not an ichthyologist, but I've seen sleeping fish. On a night dive in Hawaii, I've seen parrotfish nestled back in a grotto and surrounded by a cocoon of mucus.
