Is anyone else playing around with the idea of getting out and hitting the water before the the rains start back up again on Saturday? I was hoping to be dialing in a new fish finder that was supposed to have showed up on Monday. But tracking shows that it's been stuck somewhere between Salt Lake City and Sparks NV. for the last 4 days. Now it list delivery is pending dugh. And since I've already pulled the old one out. It's back to the good olds days of fishing blind. But fish or no fish, there's nothing better than a clear sky and a cool morning. To let ya know your still alive. My favorite time of the year.

It's the snow in the mountains guys. I have a friend returning from vacation and it took him two days to get home from Reno.

That's good news I know I hate sending any kind of funds thru the mail myself. I always pay a little extra so someone has to sign for it so I know that it got there ok.

Yeah that's what I figured. I was just kind of hoping that the guy driving the truck with my package on board was ex-ice road trucker.

Well I was only able to get about 45min of trolling in before the wind kicked up and it started getting a little rough and the whitecaps were starting to form. And Mother nature told me it was time to get off the water. So l pulled the boat and figured since I was already there I'd try some bank fishing. I was surprised at how clear the water was. The only real cloudy water was where it was lapping up.on the shoreline. But they had dropped the water level around 3' or 4' over the last couple of days. I didn't get a single bite off lures or bait. And it didn't look like anyone else did either. But I did leave with some wonderful parting gifts. Since they dropped the water it exposed a bunch of broken off lures stuck in the tullies. Where I saw one and then another and another. Look at the size of that snap swivel on the generic kastmaster he really didn't want to lose that one. I may hit it again tomorrow depending on how the wind is.

Hey buddy, it would be worth it just for the lures. I'd be checkin that place EVERY time I went out there.

Score. My son in law, age 40+ would consider a found lure, a more successful day than a limit of bass. To each his own. He would also rather paddle the canoe than fish. My fishing fool daughter has no complaints.

Oh yeah that's no joke Saw1, you would believe the collection of lures I've collected over the years. I got a going joke about snag proof frogs they only catch tullies. The trick is to look for the line, most of the time it's easier to spot than a lure
