I fish lakes in northern New Jersey for land locks Atlantic salmon they’re stocked but they also have some nice browns and rainbows
Hello
I lived around there.
Good fishing there early spring from shore then you have to get out with boat.
I don’t believe it’s being stocked in many yrs.
They are in there.
Happy fishing
Thank you sir. Have a res boat , deciding if Neversink is worth the effort to put it on. ☮️
You should.
Spring time is really good at the pull off on the other side of dam. You can take a canoe on there now. A little easier if your good on canoes. The river neversink comes off the dam produces a lot of beautiful trout also.
Have fun

My father and many other men worked on making that dam about 74 or so years ago. There were many towns they had to relocate or just remove. On a hot Julh or August days you can still see the railroad tracks under the water.
My father built a small shack my mother called it not too far from the dam. I believe the chimney still stands.
In the Spring however great trout fishing and sunny but never saw a salmon and I'm 75 I've fished there most everyday if I could.
Thanks for the wonderful memories you have. My dad was a ww ll. Vet.
Him and my mom used to go there when it was a town. They used to go to some dance place and had many friends that lived there. He also worked on the dam he drove dump truck.
DoobydobbyThe church steeple used to hang out when water was down. Haven’t seen that in a long time probably fell over.
Friend of mine caught salmon out of there probably 25 yrs ago.
Thanks for the memories.
Cool stuff. I live in those parts now and in Grahmsville there is a small museum
Showing the history. I read they tried to introduce the landlocked a few years back, curious to the latest, but can’t get a straight answer from locals. Perhaps I will try NY DEC. ☮️
