I don't fish on the Siletz river. But all the rivers are slow this year for steelhead. The peak of the season has gone and only one or two fish caught per day or none were caught. The hatchery attendant said that the steelhead run to Japan's coast and then come back to spawn. Trump stopped the Chinese fishing boats from catching all the fish in the south China Sea, but that looks like it has come to an end and the Chinese are back to illegally fishing out the sea. The Nestucca and Wilson are starting to have fish so the Siletz might be too.

Maybe try calling the Logsden store they should know if there are fish in the gorge.

My son fished the Siletz with a guide last weekend, only one salmon caught and it was wild so they released it.
