I guess I not supposed to get a dog. Puppy I was picking up on Saturday in Norfolk was adopted by someone else on Tuesday. Will not look for another until we get moved. Puppy was supposed to be held for me till Saturday. Can't trust anyone anymore

Plenty of good dogs at the shelter. Many are already trained, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and have a complete physical. Just a thought.

Local shelters have the dogs that rescue places didn’t want to mess with mostly untrained pit bull mixes and all the older dogs I really want a puppy that I can train my way

Yeah, I know what you mean dbed. It took me 2 years to find my current dog. You'll know when it's the right dog.

Look for a rescue with better credentials. I have adopted six pups over seventeen years from tidewater Bichon Freise Rescue. We still have two.
