Ice fishing in central Indiana
Spring fishing in central Indiana
Here is a picture of my new boat. The fellow was a tough negotiator but I thought a six pack and an old Zebco 202 reel was a good trade
Funny ones!
That first snapshot reminds me of something that happened early this week out on Saginaw Bay Michigan (Lake Huron) with a large group of ice fisherman. I'm getting this second hand, but as it often happens out there, a huge slab of ice sheared off and folks that were well beyond a point of knowing what happened made the discovery once they started to head back to shore.
Rescue services from all over Michigan participated in getting people to safety via choppers and airboats. I'm not sure, but I think they end up leaving all of their equipment on the ice...only passengers get brought back.

I've read several stories of ice rescues. I'll stay on the bank. Now the mini pontoon boat was a bargain. Add n umbrella n you're set ππ

Good advise but worried that an ice chest would put it over its weight capacity

That last picture setup with the styrofoam, lounge chair and trolling motor cracked me up. Yankee engineering at its best.
Iβm staying away from Indiana.

You are correct. It broke off and free floated for quite a distance!! The Coast Guard and DNR picked them up βbutβ will not take their fishing equipment with them!!! A lot of good equipment floating around the Bay!!!!π€£
