I'm retired and I live in Battle Ground. I've fished the East Fork of the Lewis River from the shore sporadically over the years with limited success. Any tips I could get on the East or North Fork would be appreciated.

Hey, Joe. Welcome to the stage. Iāve never fished the East fork but Iāve fished the North fork for a few years. Things have really declined with both salmon and Steelies. But we would drift eggs and pick up a few. But we were in a boat. Shoreline access is limited. I kinda gave up on the river and now I target Kokanee up at Merwin. Good luck in your quest. I hope you find a good spot. I know thereās access at the hatchery on the North side and access at Cedar Creek on the South. Most properties are private. Good luckā¦

I havenāt myself, Cam. But I have 6 granddaughters and they have a hay day with it now and then. Braids, curlers, Barrettās, hot irons, etc. They have a good time at grandpaās expenseā¦
