Just joined this forum and looking to interact with my fellow fishermen. I"ve done all types/levels of fishing: bank fishin', river fishin', bow fishin', near shore and deep sea fishin', and all in all, what I'm really doing is just feeding the fish bcz mostly what I do is '"catch & photo & release". This picture is a nice 3 lb channel cat I caught at a local trailer park ornamental pond, used cut up lil' smokie weiner for bait with bobber suspended hookline about 30 inches below surface, this one hit hard and leaned low and fought pretty good, let her go after picture. I'd driven by this pond many times on the way home from work and wondered what the pond held. Then one day on they way home from work, I just pulled in and baited up, and lo and behold---goes to show you never know what the waters will hold until you fish 'em. Wishing you all a good and fun time fishin' in 2023.

Great post Jumpshooter, welcome and glad you posted picture. Nothing wrong in catch and release leaves some for the others to catch.

Welcome to the Stage Jumpshooter. That's a beautiful intro Cat you have there. CPR is a common thing here, so you're in good company. Thanks for the picture, Good Luck and Tight Lines.
