I fell for the extensive promotion and tried the Maxscent line of softbaits last year. As far as I can tell it seems no better than other softbaits that I use. Have any of you had experience with these baits and have you found them superior to your current baits?

I use MaxScent Generals for Wacky rigs Jim. I do find I got more bites than a plain plastic worm. I picked up a couple trailers as well but haven't really tried them yet.

I did notice when fishing the Little General on a ned rig that I caught more bluegill than normal. I will try the General on a wacky rig again. Thanks Fred.

I use them. And I get bit when my buddy in the boat dosen't. And he gives in and uses mine. But I use fluorocarbon and he doesn't. I think that's a difference as well. Good luck, tight lines 🐟🎣

Yes, my 2 cents: I've had measurable success when using the Lil' General on Ned rigs compared to say the Z-man TRD, and the Creature Hawg vs. other trailers on bottom jigs. Not so much the General on T-rig or wacky, for some reason, as compared to Yamamoto senkos or even Zoom trick worms. Oh and the Flat Worm is killer on dropshots or shaky head.

I haven't tried it yet. I will share something a really cool old successful fishing buddy taught me though. Add GOLD glitter from a craft store to any powerbait. You will be amazed. The stuff they put in it is not the same and not gold. You should try it.

I have used the Maxscent line of baits with success but usually fall back to Keitech swimbaits. Not very durable but I’ve got a lot of confidence in them and they have produced pretty well.

Thank you all for your feedback. And Fred, it was actually the Lil Trooper that I used on a Ned Rig that caught bluegill.

Yeah Jim, they are expanding the line-up of MaxScent baits. There's a lot more types that there used to be.

There is definitely a difference. Tried and true in clear water on high pressure fish. More take max scent especially flatworm

Love 'em. I think they work. You can add garlic or other scents to other plastics but it doesn't last as long. My 2 cents worth.
