Just wondering if anyone headed out to the lake today for opening day. The entire rental fleet of boats have been reserved for weeks and they are planning on limiting the amount of private boats allowed to launch. Anticipating a large turnout. Lake level is high and water is very muddled.I’m sure today’s rain might have put a damper on many folks plans to fish the lake. The Dam Company that runs the lake has been planting the the lake for several months with quality size trout prior to opening day Love to hear from those who ventured out today. Thanks in advance!

On another note. I’m in the market for a new boat. Saw the recent pics that you posted of your boat. Definitely the type that i am leaning toward only would like to keep it at an 18 footer so that it will still fit in my garage. Just wondering if u bought it from a dealer of private party and who rigged it for you. ( dealer) Any info will be greatly appreciated. This will be my last boat. What to get it right!

I bought from a private party, much better deal, but you need to be careful . I outfitted it mostly myself, hired help where I needed it. You need to visit to see what I’ve done. A new boat has it’s merits also.

Look forward to that. Hopefully we can hook up at Almanor this spring. Can’t deal with 1 degrees.
