Yeah, the lake I fish gets a lot of alligators when the water levels go up and down. It’s a dam controlled reservoir, completely surrounded with Douglas firs. So we get some big gators 🐊…

Hey Ranger. Seems like you’re nailing them with the mouse tails. They are my go to trout bait. What I do though is I separate the mouse head from the tail and slide the head on to the upper shank of the hook. I then take the tail and shorten it a bit , removing about a Quarter inch from the tail. I then slide the tail onto the tip of the hook. I think that it makes the tail move a bit more. It works for me. Just my opinion. But what ever you’re doing keep it up.I’m also a fan of of using trout juice on the mouse tails.
