I saw Beck, Bogert & Appice back around '73. Every time I hear their version of Superstition, I get chills.
Are you referring to the H.O.F. induction in '09? That was an awesome performance, and a Royalty jam at the end.

I saw Jeff Beck with Santana in '76, Oakland Colloseum. I had an album, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Al Cooper. I think it was called "Super Stars" Season of the witch was my favorite cut on that album. I'd forgotten those old songs.

I saw BB&A in Rhode Island, with Wet Willy. Maybe spring of '73 .

I enjoyed concerts from about '74 to '80. I didn't like the big crowds anymore and stopped going. I did take my kids to see Metallica in '05 and we had a good time.

I got away from the big arena shows. We have the Palace Theatre in Waterbury. A whole bunch of friends from my hometown would go together. We always tried to secure the front and center 2 rows in the balcony. It was like watching the show in your living room. Best show I saw from that position, Pink Floyd, Dark side of the moon tour. !!! AWESOME!!!

That sounds great Fred. We heard Pink Floyd in '88 when they played Hughes Stadium, less than a mile from our home. Debbie and I sat on our front porch, just like having them medium low on the stereo. We had at lot of great shows at our Memorial Auditorium, I think 2500 seats. Rick Wakeman, Jefferson Starship, Zapa, Mountain, the dead, Commander Cody, montrose, many more. Easy outing, just minutes from home. We had a lot of fun here as kids.

The smaller halls were definitely more intimate. We also had some great clubs nearby, that national acts would visit. The Rolling Stones warmed up for a tour one year at Toad's Place in New Haven. There will never be another era like the one we grew up in.

That's awesome! We had the oasis ballroom, a bar with a small stage. I saw quik silver messenger service and Rick Derringer there. Local bands every Friday night. Old days. Today we're real party animals as long as we're home by 4pm

Derringer used to play at a bunch of local bars. Edgar Winters showed up to sit in with him, one night in a Waterbury club.
Memories......
