Honestly I don't see the likeness to mom or dad but as time passes I hear myself thinking and saying things my dad did. Didn't always like it as a youngster but here I am. I ask my older sisters, "did I just sound like dad?" YUP!

This is a photo taken in 2000, Northwest Wisconsin, Spooner. As a kid my family went there every summer for two weeks vacation. Dad was a true fisherman. I learned it from him but don't spend the hours he did. Long story short mom and dad bought a lot in central Wisconsin, Montello. Dad mostly, mom, and me built a small, very small cottage and the vacations to Spooner ended. Spooner and that resort on Big McKenzie lake was in my blood. When I had my own kids I wanted to go back. I searched it and the resort is still in business. I took my two boys and my dad back to Spooner. Priceless.
In the picture left to right is me, Chris now 30, Andy now 28, and my dad George. He enjoyed being back there. He passed three years later.
