May is a good time for Mackinaw (Lake Trout) at Priest Lake. Besides good fishing it is very beautiful and not crowded. Down rigger or drop shot. You will be fishing at 130 feet or more. North side of Bartoo Island always produces for me. The 3 to 8 pound macks are delicious.

I checked it out. It sounds like good fishing, but at over $500 for a week of camping with room for the motorhome and added permits and fees, It chased me away. If I end up at LPO for two weeks, I may just drive up and day launch. Thanks again for the input.

Little Pend Oreille chain of smaller lakes on highway 20 between Ione and Colville WA. All 4 lakes connected and beatable. A couple of shallow channels but go slow and no problem. Rainbow, tiger and occasional cutthroat and brook trout. Also various spiny rays ans some teach. I resort on Gilette Lake and state campgrounds on Gilette and Thomas. Other smaller lakes in the area. Been fishing these lakes for over 60 years - not as good as years ago but still bring home fish.

Thanks for the input. From what I can find, it is pretty much a tent camp area. I have a 30 foot motorhome connected to a 17 foot boat on trailer. Thanks again. I really like warm water fishing. Oh well.
