Good afternoon all this is Roy, I’m looking for places to freshwater fish in hernando and neighboring county’s . I see water but can’t get to it with out getting shot for trespassing. Any one able to helped.??

Welcome to the Stage Roy. The state should have a listing of all the accessible lakes and ponds in your area.

Weeki Wachee reserve is open to fishing and they have a few lakes there. I have been meaning to get up there myself, I am down in New Port Richey. Also there is a spring full of fish in the Chassahowitzka Reserve off 19

Hi Roy
You can go to a book store like Banes and noble and buy a florida detail topographic maps or just try to look up on line . but for me i like the paper book . So the nearest lake i found is lake panasoffkee has 1 boat ramp and bait store
i don't know if you have a boat or they might rent them. There are a bunch of lakes just north of you in Floral city /
Inverness has 2 boat ramps off of state road 41. i have not fished them in 10 years. hope that helps.
