Yes we were, the two lakes I fish the most one came up 127 feet and the other one 50 feet in about one month.

Try the deep water channel for catfish, either in the port across from Club Pheasant or where Jefferson boulevard is up on the levee down towards Babel slough road. Always fish there especially in the winter, they love muddy water..

Lot's of places to fish there
Fish the Knights Landing boat ramp parking lot , literally cast into the lot . Use knight crawlers for bait . At times of flooding catfish are thick in there !
