My first Bass...of 2023!

Fireguy Loc: Alton Bay NH
 
Today I finally got out on the pond for a few hours. Didn't get out until 1100, fished until 1400. A lot of flags, and some nice fish, Bass, pickerel, and perch. 4 bass between 1.5 - 2 lbs, photo is the 1st catch.

I was skeptical this am when I saw the temperature at the cabin was 32, and there had been a lot of melting yesterday. But, it was pretty cold in the valley where the pond is, froze up nice. The best part is, I can walk to the pond to check it out.

All we have around here is skim ice, or open water.

Yup, that, and they are low, helps keep them out of the wind. Also, being able to change the the sensitivity helps. I switched out all of my traditional traps for these. The old ones are now my MA ones.
