If you are an atheist or an unbeliever that God exists, you can stop reading now, unless you are curious about whether there are promises in both the Old and New Testaments regarding God’s will and intentions.

There is no going back, particularly if your parents are already deceased, as mine are.
But I believe I am living now as a promise that I kept during the lifetime of both my parents. While I did not always agree with my parents, I did obey them, respected them and if I lived under their roof, I did my best to be a ‘good son’.

If you doubt my havingpublishing this, look up Exodus 20:12, and in the New Testament Ephesians 6:1 and verses following. How can you be obedient and honor God whom you have not seen, if you aren’t respectful and obedient to your parents where you have grown up under their roof?

There was harsh punishment for a son who refused to obey his parents in ancient times. While those rules are no longer in effect, if one is disobedient, they are missing out on one of God’s promises of long life. So, do I attribute my longer life is due to this promise. Yes, I do!

Far too many of my classmates are asleep under the sod for me to take this promise as a joke or of non-effect. I know how they lived. So, whether you are an atheist, a ‘garden variety’ non-believer, or whatever, you can look these promises up for yourself.

While my personal example I am about to explain is somewhat childish and too simplistic, it might open you to an understanding.

In some sense, we as people who are living for a short time on Earth, can be like different colonies of ants living in a large glass terrarium. The Creator or owner is responsible for our food, climate, everything we need to survive. Now if there is such a Creator who exists, and Christians believe he does, then doesn’t it make sense to try and understand what he wants and expects?

All this, Earth and inhabitants will come to an end someday, called the End Times! Everyone must choose to either believe or not. If Christians are wrong and have been misled and there is no Heaven or Hell, then we are no worse off. However, if you as a non-believer are wrong and God does exist, you will have an unthinkable eternity. There will be no opting out, everyone will stand before God and be judged. Just Sayin….RJS

There is no such thing as an atheist only an agnostic…..because when he meets God he will believe in Him.
Be assured that God does exist. I have witnessed several supernatural miracles. Religion and church have done a great job of getting in the way of Him
Don’t take my word for it. Humble yourself, get on your knees and ask Jesus into your life. He will not disappoint you!

Thank you for backing me up. I was a little concerned about posting this article, being that I was expressing some 'strong stuff'!

I have had conversations with some who were far from any knowledge of God or anything about Salvation, such as young Chinese. It confused them to come face to face Christianity. One young man said, "Bob, why do you do these things? Meaning charitable acts to/for stangers. It is a completely foreign concept to do anything kind to or for stangers. Just Sayin...RJS

One time when I was taking one of our Chinese guests home, he was acting strange, so I asked him what was bothering him. He finally told me his wife was pregnant with their second child, contrary to the rule in China about having only one child.
She had arranged to stay with a friend in Houston, but when the friend's husband heard, he refused to permit it.

So my Chinese friend was going to rent an apartment and leave his wife all alone in Houston until she delivered.
I told him that was not a good idea. Why not let her stay with us, since we had a spare bedroom. He finally agreed. She would talk to her son by using Scope, every evening. She finally delivered a healthy girl she named Caroline. All went well and the entire family helped take care of her and kept her secret from the authorities.

Caroline is now 10 years old, and the government has changed its mind because it was a mistake to ban girl babies.

Once in class, the teacher had each student stand up and tell what their nationality was. Caroline would stand and say, I am not Chinese, I am an American! I wrote back and told her mother to tell Caroline she was the best kind of American, She was a Texan! Just Sayin...RJS

You are correct about 'being in God's will! You are things he has for you, and you can refuse or work diligently to do them. Many you will not recognize until after, and even then you may not fully understand your part. Just Sayin...RJS

I concur to with all you said, Robert. When I arrived in Vietnam I asked the Lord to look after me because I knew I would not be looking after myself. The Lord did a great job.

I just missed Nam but I remember a testimony of a sergeant who was on his knees in a tent with two north Vietnamese soldiers with guns to his head, about to execute him. He prayed and he said he saw a bright light in the tent and the soldiers dropped their guns and ran. He got away. Divine intervention.

I can attest to miracles without question. I have been through several of them. I am supposed to be here for some reason. I just hope I can figure out why, one day.
The most recent two miracles, were when my son, Jacob, and I were hit head-on on I-94, a big highway up here going East/ West. A texting driver lost control on the Westbound side of the highway. She hit a large pickup truck, which went through the median and hit us head on while we were going East.
My little stick shift Kia Soul went flying through the air and landed on the passenger side off the highway and up on a hill. 9 people were sent to emergency rooms that day. Amazingly, all lived. I was in the worst shape followed by a man that was part of a documentary film crew from Alabama. They lost $100k of filming equipment in the wreck, not that that matters. I was in intensive care for a month and home with nurses for another month before I could start to go back to work with my walker.
I was in bad shape with 7 shattered ribs, broken pelvis, head trauma, punctured and collapsed left lung, torn spleen, kidney and liver. My diaphragm muscle was torn open and my large intestine was stuck in near where my lung would normally be. Thank God, my son got away with minor cuts. He still trash talks me today about how he is tougher than me and got out with barely any injuries.
While I was groaning and hanging from my seat belts, I knew it was all going to work out fine. My wife was outside my car talking to me. She was following us to Applebees for BBQ ribs. We both knew at that moment it would be fine. During my first surgery, the doctors cut my open and were looking at the situation to decide what to do first. But stuff started moving, so they watched. My large intestine moved right back into its normal home and everything went right back as it should've been. They blotted the liver, kidney and spleen to stop the bleeding and it worked. I was still messed up but everything was back where it belonged. I almost died a couple weeks later when my heart was found to have a massive blood clot in it that caused me to go into contortions and some other stuff.
So, they had to cut me open again to fix it. But that again, was a miracle as I was lucky the staff was in my room when it happened, or I wouldn't be doing any Musky fishing today, but in Heaven.
Those are just two examples of many spectacular wrecks that I've been in. Never my fault, but always high flying rollover situations. And it was also a miracle that we knew right away from God / Jesus or an Angel. He didn't give his name, but my wife and I got the same message and it all worked out.
Funny thing. The nurses that I spent every day with bought me a card and gave it to me right before I left.
It had an Applebees gift card in it. The card said "We wanted to buy you your BBQ ribs that you were trying to get when you had many of yours broken."
Sweethearts.
Miracles are real. It's all real.
And I have no obvious signs that I have had so many wrecks. If I take my shirt off it might tell a few stories.
But most people think I look better now.
