Mag Bay area is my favorite place to fish in the whole world. I would move there if it were not for the political/drug situation. That or La Paz was my winter retirement plan until the political situation changed. Live on a 30 to 32 foot sailboat, Oct to May, then put the boat on the hard. I planned to use the sailboat to fish outside the bay and the inflatable inside the bay. I always planned a few day stop over when delivering sailboats to and from Cabo, many years back. The U.S. is going to crap, but Mexico, that is another story entirely, with machine gun nests at major intersections and combat ready military and police in every shadow.
