Thanks Leo for the post and prayers.
What everybody thought would take YEARS to refill in the lakes has almost already gotten back to normal/full.
And it's still rainin and snowin. Hopefully ALL the lakes and reservoirs in California will fill back up before it quits rainin.

For a long time, I've been praying for rain.
It's like Mama used to tell us, "Be careful what you wish for!"
I guess that the thing to pray for is moderation?

Dad told us when Folsom Dam was completed in '55/'56, it filled in three weeks! We're about 50' elevation, though in the vee of the Sacramento and American Rivers, we are several miles from each.

Yeah, some people just don't realize how much water runs down these hills and mountains into the streams and rivers that feed these lakes and reservoirs. ESPECIALLY when we keep getting storm after storm. That ALL adds up quickly.
Lake Sonoma was nearly 100 feet down now it's nearing the full mark we hope.

It's been rainin here ALL day today. And more srorms all the way through next week with just short breaks between them. Haven't seen forecasts past next week though.

Thank you Saw, but for power outages we're fine. Folks in the Consumnes/ Mokolame Basin need all the help they can get. The water just won't stop, won't go away. That is my prayers. I understand the Russian through Guerneville has not crested. Only the lowest areas. Hope all are safe.

True. It was suppose to crest today, this afternoon, but as far as I know it didn't reach quiet that height.
It's still rainin though and it's 9PM. Been rainin ALL day from the wee hours this morning.
