Just moved to area and live to Bass Fish. Have a boat and looking for insight on preferred artificial bait selection and technique inputs. Use some crank baits but prefer soft plastic baits.

Fished all 3 in early September. Spent most of my time at Farm13 and did well w 8 inch worm w slip sinker. My best was 7lb 8oz. Was very hot and much different conditions. Spoke to a few people while there and Big Swim Baits are getting the bigger fish if you have gear for that. Good luck!

A buddy and I are going down next month. I know it's frowned on by some, but with flights, lodging, money invested, we wanted to go catching. 3 days catching, 3 different guides, might even fish off an air boat. I'll post pictures of our experience.

I don’t frown upon shiner fishing but not for me. I like to test my skills and it’s the thrill of the hunt and figuring fish out. Anyone w minimal skills and a decent guide can do well at Stickmarsh, Headwaters or Farm13. I actually preferred Stickmarsh to Headwaters, less populated and suites my fishing style better. Best of luck. Also shiners will add about $120 a day to cost.

Fished both areas for several winters. Shiners are great in colder weather, but they are expensive. We like good old plastic worms, unweighted in the openings in the hydrilla patches. A small worm weight might be needed in the deeper areas. Both lakes are quite shallow, with a few deeper channels.

Best bass fishing I have experienced. Cold fronts in winter can slow things down
