Hello from Bellingham!

Cedar, I see you say you are from Bellingham in your post, but your location says Ferndale. You don't have to be embarrassed any more. Ferndale is big enough now to have it's own spot on the map. I understand. I lived quite a while in Custer until I moved to the metropolis of Blaine. I even lived in Ferndale back when it was a farm town. Happy New Year.

Chris- I grew up just west of Ferndale on a farm near Lake Terrell. Loved it there.

I grew up out west of Ferndale near lake Terrill on the Alder Grove road from 1948 till I graduated there in 1966. Still consider it home. Caught my first fish when I was 5 in the Lake Terrill creek that went under Alder Grove road on a worm. It was a monster cat fish all of 8 inches in length. And I was so proud of it. My wife grew up and graduated from Blaine HS in 1966 also. I played basketball in the old Custer gym back in the early 60's. Several of my family lived just north of Custer. It is a beautiful area. My ancestors homesteaded out west of Ferndale on the Douglas road and also north east of Bellingham on the Van Wyke road in the 1890's or there abouts. We get back up that way occasionally. Hope you have a great day. Happy Valentines Day tomorrow. Denny
