I've been fishing in the evening and night almost every day this week and my legs arms and hands are covered in bites and I can't help itch them, they are bleeding now. Anyways the repellents at the stores do seem to work well enough, anyone have any tips and advice on what to do or use to keep the mosquitos away?

Those thermacells work alright? Been looking at getting one.

Works great in my experience. Be sure to pack extra butane cells and repellant pads.

Only thing I've found to really work consistently is deet. Just make sure you keep it off your fishing gear. Easy way to ruin a spool of line.

I use deet spray, doesn't help with flies though. Luckily they only last a few hours on me before they go away.

Any type of deodorant will help with the "itch". Secret & Degree may be the best. Dryer sheets, venella, anything thing with "deet" but you must repeat application as necessary.
Nothing works. They are natural alcoholics so if you drink they will be attracted. They prefer blood type “o” so get your blood type changed, best thing I have found it go to your local hospital, visit someone in ICU, and keep the disposable gown you have to wear while in there. I have yellow ones that are super light weight and air flows freely
I tried dryer sheets whil a buddy didn’t there was no significant difference, what’s the trick?
As long as were breathing Co2 out, they are hunting for us, at least some of us! Some folks blood just not what they want, and lots of us are their target blood dinner! Deet is the only help! Deter them too with stinky stuff, Avon skin so soft for gnats, 1/2 vinegar and water with little cheep lemon dish soap sprayed around area helps too! Add in other essential oils like lavender, etc. I spray around hedge plants and walls at home to deter them some and all around boat to stink them away. If hunting thermacell device. Heres to the flipping skeeter slap!
Ben's Insect Repellant. Liquid in a squeeze bottle. Works every time.
