We are east coast cruising ICW and Ocean side in a 35 foot Nordhavn trawler we mostly live aboard. We love to shrimp and are always looking for fishing and shrimping spots. Currently we go between St Augustine FL and Daytona Beach.

Try along the sea walls with shrimp for some puffers
Welcome, Rich here. I use to live in Titusville and fish the Indian River for trout and Reds. Would also fish Daytona and New Smyrna.most of the time would catch fish.
After I got my bigger boat would run out of Port Canaveral to the stream. 30 miles, long run.
Love the color of the Gulf Stream and normally do pretty good, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo, great fighting fish.
I now live in Leesburg, (1 hour from Daytona) on the Harris Chain of Lakes
Freshwater, totally a different type of fishing.
How long will you be in the area?
Happy New Year!
Our boat is on the hard getting upgrades and paint. Maybe two weeks before a St Augustine run and a week later, the keys. I too have had great fishing in the stream off Port Canaveral. Right now I'm looking for shrimp in the Halifax.
When you get down to Daytona and the Halifax River let me know and I'll fill you in on fishing the ICW, it's creeks and the Ponce Inlet area where you can anchor up and fish from your trawler. Good luck with your haulout.

We are in Daytona now except in drydock.
Maybe 2 weeks before we are fishing. Ponce Inlet area may be a good spot because we will then take it ocean side and do some trawling towards St Augustin with the fish we catch at Ponce.
Where are you out of the water? In Daytona itself there's only Daytona Marina and Boat Works and I am berthed there on Dock 5. Further south there's Seven Seas Marina and boatyard and then at Ponce Inlet there's the other area boatyard.
Daytona Boat Works. You can see Moondance on stands next to the office.
Howdy neighbor!
Going to my other home in Palm Coast for the weekend. Be back to the boat Monday pm. We'll get together when I get back.
Sounds great. Let me know Monday.
