There is speculation he went into cardiac arrest due to the shoulder to the chest hit from the receiver he tried to tackle. The blow may have interrupted his normal heart rhythm. Hopefully, they were able to revive him through CPR and defibrillation. 🙏🏻

Whatever the cause, we need to keep him in our prayers and that he is able to make a complete recovery.

They did revive him. He’s in the local hospital in critical condition.

We started praying last night, as soon as he went down.

Watched it last night. A normal tackle nothing out of the ordinary. Prayers started last night also. 🙏. Wa hard to watch all the players reactions.

I saw one Drs explanation of what he thought it could have been.
He said there was a rare condition where the heart stops beating when there is an impact to the chest area over the heart just as the heart is between beats.
IF the impact happens just at the exact moment that the heart stopped it beat and before the heart beats again it can cause the heart to stop beating. Hope y'all can make sense of how I tried to explain what he said.
He also said that with all the measures that happened afterwards that he should be able to make a full recovery.
He wasn't without oxygen for any length of time and they got his heart goin again rather quickly.
At least that was what he thought it might be.
We still need to keep him in our prayers though.
