That's awesome Crappiebite. How many came to the boat?
Yes Sir but they were were picking.I tried spoons,Mepps #2,White grub and the only thing We were able to catch what we got were from minnows. If we would have live shad then we would have filled the boat up.We caught 5 and only 1 keeper was caught.
I started out small using a small hook Lowrance unit and learned it and watched lots of youtube videos on what to look for and how to read it and I looked at the Humminbird Bird Helix 9 with down scan and side scan mega imaging and learned it and it taught me alot then I did ALOT of research and lots videos on YouTube on whats was the best for what I fish for and I got the Livescope 1222 and LVS 34 transducer for the areas I find by using my Helix 9 unit. Its kinda high on price but you can try and go threw affirm and pay it out which is what I did and I went threw BASSTANK company for the unit.

They look awesome and they would be nice to have I suppose. However, that's all I need. A unit that positively shows me that the fish are there and then NOT be able to catch any or them.
As it is now. I fish without a finder and I know where they are suppose to be. If I don't catch any fish in that area I move to another area I know that should hold fish. I keep movin till I find fish that wanna bite or it gets to the point I just call it a day.
We rarely get skunked, but it does happen. Usually it's this time of year when it does though.
We're gonna go to the Petaluma river tomorrow to see if we can catch a New Years fish.

Its a big game changer for sure,Main thing is correct wire size for the setup and time on the water to learn it which I caught on within about 30 min.
