I am recently retired and live in Katy Texas love to fish but haven’t done much recently. Would love to find some fishing buddies. Fishing is always more fun with friends. Always looking for an invite to go fishing.

Welcome to the Stage Dragonfish. We've got a bunch of Texans here. Good Luck and Tight Lines! Don't forget, we love pictures.

I know I can't help you. I lived in Pasadena and Dayton but have moved back to Oregon. I didn't know how to fish the Gulf while I was there but I tried. I would have been glad to have someone to fish with down there. I have watched lots of videos of fishing in the Gulf and now I know what to use and how to catch fish there. All I seemed to be able to catch were hardheads and a few corkers and one alligator gar.

Welcome to the Forum, Df. We have a member that lives in Port Aransas, but I can't remember his username. He may be around to help you. Otherwise, I would start fishing the "pike" between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas and then the piers and jetties in Port A. Good luck.

Welcome aboard Dragonfish I'm no help for there but there is a member from Aransas and he seems to be open to help and fish with others but like Flyguy said I don't recall his handle. Maybe I'll remember when I quit trying so hard lol 😆 I do remember he likes wade fishing and I believe he has a kayak Maybe.
When he sees your post he will respond
I just remembered his name is El Rod
you have quite a few top notch bass lakes near you that are within an hour from. you. Rayburn, Toledo.Bend, to name just 2. Good luck with whichever you fish for.....
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
Welcome aboard Dragonfish49, you'll find lot's of great people here and should have not problem finding someone to go fishing with. Let me ask; do you fish more salt water of fresh water. I'm just getting started into kayak fishing and have a few people that have offered to connect and go. Just waiting on some more accessories and a little bit warmer weather. Of course we can"t complain about the weather we are having now. Keep fishing, keep your line tight and God bless.

Welcome to the forum Dragon.
I retired 2 years ago and live in Katy. Don’t like it here as it’s so far from any fish able waters but it’s where the wife’s job is. I surf fish down in Sargent and catfish in Somerville and Conroe.

Hey Keith welcome to the stage, I used to have a place just off Caney creek on a canal in Sargent. It was sure some good fishing 🎣
There's good catfishing in lots of waters in Harris County, the tpwd stocks catfish in most city ponds/lakes in summer for kids to catch and lots of them grow up lol, the catfish that is, right now during the winter they are stocking rainbow trout also till February

There a lot of small fishing places closer to you that help feed the need!

Hit me up sometime and we can go drown some worms.
We are not that far from each other, I live just northeast of La Grange. Do you prefer salt water or fresh water. I'm always ready to go fishing. Maybe we can hook up and wet a hook. My e-mail is tx380514@yahoo.com.
