Sometime people just make up answers to show how smart and important they are, or hide their ignorance when they should be in the know. For me, any time anyone, press or otherwise fail to reveal or deliberately hides their source behind a fancy name like "senior source", I put it in the round file. Any time a person who is in a position where they are reasonably expected to providing responsible information, quotes or paraphrases the statement of another without revealing the original source are strictly providing hearsay, or worse spreading gossip or slander. Again, into the round file for me. At any rate, we both agree that no one outside the negotiation loop will ever know the t***h or whole story, so I believe we have beaten this one to death. It is time to move on, at least for me.
