Welcome to FS!
You wouldn’t happen to be from Kansas, would you?
No. Originally from MO but in FL now.

The river channel through Monroe can hold crappie, in Fl referred to as specks.
Start outside Monroe Harbor Marina. There is a good hole about 20 feet deep. Troll west toward I-4 bridge in channel. Cross lake to Enterprise side. Drift out from old power plant. Again cross lake to Stone Isle area and drift. The area between Grassey Point and the Gov. Cut is sometimes good for specks. In late Feb. and March, fish brush in Government Cut. Lake Monroe is a shallow lake and can get rough when the wind comes up. You can buy minnows at Baggs Veggie stand on 25th street. Good luck, hope you fill your live well.
Thank you so much. I’ll be out there tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!!
